How do I install a PlayStation 2 or PlayStation 3 emulator on my PC and what are the system requirement for both?
A.
There are a few freely available PlayStation emulators that can be downloaded from the internet and a simple google search on the topic will turn up the various options. PCSX2 is a fairly popular PlayStation 2 emulator that runs on both Windows and Linux PCs and can be installed by running an executable installer. Another fairly popular PS2 emulator is PS2emu. There are as yet no emulators for PlayStation 3.
PCSX2 will require a computer system of configuration:
Processor: At least an Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon 64 processor or later (with SSE2 and higher)
RAM: At least one Gigabyte (2GB is better)
Graphics Card: GeForce FX or higher (Or comparable Graphics Card)
Usual set of peripherals are required.
PCSX2 website: www.pcsx2.net
this website includes a FAQ page with details of installing and configuring the emulator.
